Jillian Metcalf was always willing to help someone that needed it. No matter how big or small, she didn’t ask for anything in return. Jillian greeted everyone with the biggest smile, and always made you feel good after talking to her.

Everyone who knew Jillian, knew she had a heart of gold. Jillian grew up on Fire Island, and was no stranger to the different communities along the island. She attended the Fire Island School, and then went on to graduate from Islip High School.

During the off-season months she worked for her fathers company, while going to school, and in the summer months she worked on the island in the restaurants. Jillian enjoyed jogging on the beach with her dog Einstein, stopping to take beautiful pictures of the sunrise. She was going to school to do what she loved to do, help people.

Before Jillian’s untimely death, she was studying to become a Nurse, which would continue her gift of helping people and spreading her constant joy. The Jillian A. Metcalf Charitable Foundation Inc. has been established to provide financial aid to nursing or healthcare students, as well as to support local families in need.
